About Me

Hi there, thanks so much for visiting my website. I’m Imogen, the gal on the other side of the screen (or with my face pressed against a scanner). I live in my hometown Wellington, New Zealand where since 2009 I have been running my own handmade business, Imogen Wilson Jewellery as a hobby on the side of my 9-5 job. I went full-time in 2013 and finally had the time to expand my brand to include Major Tom (and Ex Libris). Being self employed is a lot of hard work and long hours, and as a result I’ve never been busier, poorer, or happier with my life. I’m giving it a shot and it’s a great feeling betting on myself! A mentor of mine, Jess Van Den, said it best and I couldn’t agree more “I believe in handmade. I believe in the power and the goodness of the micro-economy. I buy handmade wherever I can. I believe that the more of us who succeed, the better our world and our lives will be.”

I’m a jeweller and a blogger. I’m also a wife, a mother, and an only child, a chocolate-addict, a bookworm & facebook-aholic.
